The M82 is a family of Player Weapons that can be found on Sophie. The rifles use 9x42mm Ammo and cone in two forms: Basic and Aperture.
The rifle is a single-action 6 shot revolver rifle and is essentially a larger version of the EB Revolver. It rifle's cylinder is fixed in place and can not be removed or swung out for easy access. Instead, a loading gate is built into the frame to allow spend cartridges to be removed and fresh ammo to load into the weapon one cylinder chamber at a time. This means that the weapon can only reload one piece of ammunition at a time.
It is effective at medium range and is one of the few weapons that can handily be used from the deck of a Trampler to exchange small arms fire with crew members of another trampler.

The Aperture variant is a Noteworthy rifle. It has had an aperture site installed to use in place of the iron sights.
