Crowns are an Uncommon Valuables resource and the primary currency used by explorers of Sophie. The primary usage of crowns is in the shop aboard the orbital station where players may purchase a number of basic supplies for their expeditions. Research and Trampler construction also require crowns for all tech tree unlocks and the construction of more advanced compartments, respectively.

Crowns are guaranteed to be found inside Valuables Safes. Crowns may also be found scattered throughout city and port Landmarks as loose change resting on countertops and can usually be found at the bottom of plaza fountains. Otherwise, they may occasionally drop from npc coral creatures in small quantities upon death.
