There are a wide variety of landmarks that can be visited in Sand, however these can be split into distinct categories.

Towns are the most prominent point of interest in the game, with each town named and marked on the player map. All towns will have **Zombies** present and will have to be cleared out before any effective looting of the location can be done. Additionally, as of the October 2025 Playtest, all towns contain enough **Red Barrels** to be able to blow open all **Red Barricaded Doors** that can be found there.

Forts, like Towns, are also named and marked on the player map. Unlike towns these locations have significantly less to and occasionally no **Zombie** spawns. These will always be surrounded by a **mine** field as well as many Forts being secured by two layers of large **Red Barricaded Doors**. These can be blown open by using explosives such as Mounted Weapons or Explosives, to gain access to the internals.

There are currently two Secret Locations that can appear in the game, The Dreadnaught and The Sandworm Pit. Both are present and discoverable on the map before the final storm closes in, but you will not be able to attain their high-tier loot spawns until then. These locations can be present on a map and not be the guaranteed final extraction point.
Strudel is a city landmark, one of the larger points of interest on the map, and is composed of two major sections. on the north/northeast side, there is a small "island" with a lighthouse, and the rest of the landmark is composed of the city.

On the lighthouse island there is some loot of average rarity, along with two explosive doors, one at the base of the lighthouse and one at a small shed on the island. Inside the lighthouse you will find standard lighthouse loot, such as vaults, a rifle, and a crate of 1899 chardonnay.

On the main island you will find mostly average city loot, with the exception of three points of interest. Facing the lighthouse you will find a small outcrop that will spawn two cannons and a time bomb. Inside the city you will find a small self contained area walled on all sides by buildings and that requires explosives to get it, with some slightly above average loot.

Finally, there is a factory on the south side of the island that can produce a Pristine 70mm Shotgun Cannon from 40 Alloy steel and 300 Pneumatic parts.

The cannon is very accurate and excels at long and medium range combat, making it well suited to sniping specific components on another trampler. Good aim is required to land shots at longer ranges however as the shells will aggressively arc down due to gravity after being fired.

The cannon can only fire a single 80mm Shell at a time and must be reloaded after every shot. The time needed to reload the cannon is rather long, limiting the weapon's rate of fire behind it's reload speed.

Higher tier cannons benefit from an improved reload speed over their lower tier counterparts, which in turn cause them to deal higher dps though a higher rate of fire.

The 70mm Shotgun Cannon is a Mounted Weapon that can be installed on a Trampler's weapon mount. It comes in four different variants and offers unparalleled damage potential at close range in exchange for a relatively short effective range compared to other mounted weapons.

The cannon can only fire a single 70mm Shell at a time and must be reloaded after every shot. The time needed to reload the cannon is rather long, effectively limiting the weapon's rate of fire behind it's reload speed. Higher tier cannons benefit from an improved reload speed over their lower tier counterparts, which in turn cause them to deal higher dps though a higher rate of fire.

The cannon excels in close range combat, being capable of instantly killing multiple crew members in a wide spread with a single shell. The cannon is also highly damaging against trampler components, only needing a few shells to outright destroy most compartments (reactors included). This damage drops off sharply with distance, however, causing the weapon to do negligible damage to both crew and tramplers at anything other than short range.

Unlike other mounted weapons, the cannon is outfitted with a shield that helps protect the gunner from return fire.

The 40mm Autocannon is a Mounted Weapon that can be installed on to a Trampler's weapon mount points. It comes in four variants and offers a high fire rate, large ammunition reserves, and ease of use in a wide range of situations. This comes in exchange for having reduced effectiveness in extreme situations compared to other more specialized weapons.

The autocannon fires 40mm Shells which feed directly from the weapon's ammunition reserves. As such it does not need to reload, instead utilizing a heat buildup system. Firing will add heat to the weapon which is displayed in a meter next to the crosshair, showing how much heat has built up in the weapon. The autocannon will passively dissipate heat at a constant rate, but sustained fire will add heat faster than the weapon can dissipate by itself, slowly filling the heat meter over time. If this meter fills up all the way, the weapon will overheat, making it unable to fire for a period of time while it cools down.

The autocannon is a generalist weapon and is able to apply itself decently well in most situations with very few downsides. Of the few downsides the weapon has, the most important to note would be its less than stellar accuracy.

One situation that the autocannon excels in is mobile combat with other tramplers (although it is more accurate to say that mobile combat negatively affects the weapon noticeably less than other mounted weapons). Where the 80mm Naval Cannon requires precise shooting to be effective (which can be difficult when shooting at another trampler while in motion), the autocannon can afford to miss a few shots here and there and still be relatively effective. Similarly, where the 70mm Shotgun Cannon is able to deal high damage at close range, tramplers in motion may not give you the luxury of fighting at close range in the first place, making its usefulness situational. The autocannon can maintain its effectiveness well past the furthest reaches of the 70mm Shotgun Cannon.

It can also be used to suppress crew either on deck or on the ground at close range, but lacks the raw killing power of the 70mm Shotgun Cannon in a similar situation.

Tier 1 - Rusty
It might be outdated but it can still pack a punch

Four of these are given for free to every new adventurer

Please note that all loot data was gathered in the "voyage" gamemode, and may differ in storm dive

Landmarks

There are currently two Secret Locations that can appear in the game, **the Dreadnaught** and **the Sandworm Pit**. Both are present and discoverable on the map before the final storm closes in, but you will not be able to attain their high-tier loot spawns until then. These locations can be present on a map and not be the guaranteed final extraction point.

This page layout has been customized to display landmarks with image icons instead of just an alphabetical list. It has been GPT'd so don't trust it for shite.

The M82 is a family of Player Weapons that can be found on Sophie. The rifles use 9x42mm Ammo and come in two forms: Basic and Aperture.

The rifle is a single-action 6 shot revolver rifle and is essentially a larger version of the EB Revolver. It rifle's cylinder is fixed in place and can not be removed or swung out for easy access. Instead, a loading gate is built into the frame to allow spent cartridges to be removed and fresh ammo to loaded into the weapon one at a time.

It is effective at medium range and is one of the few weapons that can handily be used from the deck of a Trampler to exchange small arms fire with crew members of another trampler.

They can be found in Weapon Crates, however, player weapons follow special rules that determine how they are spawned. See Weapon Crate for more info.

The SGOW M82 9 mm revolver rifle. Highly versatile like a Swiss Army knife. Quite slow when it comes to reloading.

Instead, a loading gate is built into the frame to allow spend cartridges to be removed and fresh ammo to load into the weapon one cylinder chamber at a time. This means that the weapon can only reload one piece of ammunition at a time.

It is effective at medium range and is one of the few weapons that can handily be used from the deck of a Trampler to exchange small arms fire with crew members of another trampler.

They can be found in Weapon Crates, however, player weapons follow special rules that determine how they are spawned. See Weapon Crate for more info.

The 80mm Naval Cannon is a Mounted Weapon that can be installed on to a Trampler's weapon mount points, or a static mount.

It comes in four variants and offers accurate, long range, high damage attacks which reward good aim in exchange for lower dps than other mounted weapons.
The cannon can only fire a single 80mm Shell at a time and must be reloaded after every shot. The time needed to reload the cannon is rather long, effectively limiting the weapon's rate of fire behind it's reload speed. Higher tier cannons benefit from an improved reload speed over their lower tier counterparts, which in turn cause them to deal higher dps though a higher rate of fire.
The cannon is very accurate and excels at long and medium range combat, making it well suited to sniping specific components on another trampler. Good aim is required to land shots at longer ranges however as the shells will aggressively arc down due to gravity after being fired. Additionally, mobile combat with other tramplers can easily throw off shell ballistics and cause the weapon to miss entirely. This can be offset by a skilled gunner who is able to place their shots accurately and consistently, and will allow them to disable critical components of another trampler at longer ranges than other mounted weapons.
